Patrick_G
Our Seattle area aquarium club had a large auction yesterday. The amount of fish, plants and gear being auctioned was amazing. They started and 10:00am and were still going strong when I left at 2:30pm. I think they stopped at 4:00pm with many items still left to sell. I’d like to give a huge thank you for the volunteers who make this event run so smoothly! I bought some stuff, but lost out on a bunch of items. It was a good day for sellers. I brought some African Dwarf Frogs and netted over $70 for them. Not bad in my opinion! 2

Schuyler
It ended a little after 4:00 but they managed to pick up the pace and auction off all the items. It got pretty crazy at the end. Most of my plants were like $1-$2 and this piece of wood was $1 too. One guy got a pack of three, full, large seachem fertilizers for $12, one of them had a pricetag of $14.99. Then the we stacks of spider wood, dragon stone, and siryu stone that went for similarly low prices. Dean was there and had said that he was going to bring a cup of fine sand for me but things were so crazy that I totally forgot until he was already gone... It was pretty awesome how much of a turnout we had there. I wish I had tried harder to get one if those grindal worm cultures. Those looked like guys setups It's also a bit crazy how many YouTube people are in our club Edited April 23 by Schuyler

If I don’t volunteer at the next one I’ll probably plan on getting there later and staying until the end. Your haul looks pretty nice. I’m happy that I got one of the grindal worm kits. It’s a prime setup. I’m also happy about the huge bag of fluffy Java Windelov that included about 6 separate bunches.

I think the optional approach would be to get there early to get your items in a good spot and get some fish, leave and take a break in the middle for a bit, then come back near the end up get some crazy deals. Did you end up getting the free food samples? That was definitely cool, now I don't have to but a full jar only to find out my fish don't like the taste

Getting access to plants from a community of hobbyists would be special and really help me out! I would totally sell some fish and shrimp too!
