Schuyler
I live in the PNW so there are trees all around me and basically nowhere in my yard is free of pine needles. Does anyone know if pine needles in tubs will be an issue? (If you want to be pedantic they were technically fir needles but no one says that...) Fish Folk
There are some common issues: oxygen consumption with needle breakdown; water surface covered by fallen needles; possible acidity change in water… But anecdotally, most people have managed around these. Maybe avoid placing directly beneath a pine tree.

I was mainly worried because of the big deal people make about sap and resin in aquarium wood.
