Got a single rainbow shiner and cannot get more for the moment. Any "substitutes"?

Hi:

I do not know if I am going to be able to get more rainbow shiners anytime soon and I do not want this guy/girl to be alone so,

is there any fish that would get along?

I do not mean share the tank and not kill each other, I mean swim together and all that stuff.

Maybe zebra danios? maybe white cloud mountain minnows? Some small barbs?

If your ok with waiting and shipping fish in, I believe Aqua Huna has rainbow shiners in stock. I believe they're listed in the pond fish section. I'm not sure if different species of fish will actively try to school with one another, but I'm most likely wrong, White Clouds would be my bet.

Rainbow Shiners will happily school with cool water livebearers and other egg-scattering species that can thrive in tropical temperatures. I keep Lowland Shiners with Swordtails . . . Rainbow Shiners with Dace . . . White Cloud Mountain minnows are just fine.

Correction! I meant to say "that can thrive in temperate temperatures." Do not make Rainbow Shiners too hot for long. 70-74 F is max in my book.
