Tank rack/stand for 4 5 gallon shrimp tank breeding project

Hey everyone. I'm thinking of starting a little shrimp breeding project. I think 4 5 gallon tanks will do what I want to achieve. I just started thinking on this so I'm trying to figure out the best route to go for everything. I don't feel like I need to get a huge rack for this to work. Probably just build one out of 2x4s and plywood. 36" long should be good. That would leave me with 5" in length to leave a bit of space between each tank if I set them side by side. 2 shelf's with 2 tanks on each. 

I would like to build the shelves a bit higher from the floor so I can have easy access to them. I'm not opposed to a narrower shelf with 4 shelves. One for each tank. But then the shelf would need to be taller overall to keep the bottom tank from sitting really low to the ground.

I guess what I'm looking for is ideas on the best way to build it. The right choice in materials and how to assemble it to be the strongest it can be. Any advice would be great

I'm eventually going to build a new stand using these products. They make structural connectors for EMT conduit.

You can also divide 10 gallon tanks. You need to get the solid divider and silicone it in place, filtration on each side. That way shrimplets cannot pass thru. I bought one of these dividers recently but will probably return it because I decided to make the Walstad jar instead.

I would basically just do this if possible. Wood on top of the wire shelf that extends to the top of the rail. 18" deep for long end and then there is a 24" deep version for short end setups.
