smm333
I was checking out my strawberry rasboras yesterday and one looked very dark silver. I panicked, thinking something was wrong. Upon further investigation, I saw a 2nd one with the same coloring and watched as they chased other typical colored ones around. I believe they were spawning! Super bummed that I don't have any tanks to move them into for egg collecting. The tank they are in has a lot of snails, so I don't think its likely to have babies. It was really interesting though! I had a real hard time getting a picture. They never stop moving!
Fish Folk
Basically, the trick is this: (1) prepare a tank with loads of java moss in for them to spawn over top of (2) feed them a healthy diet of live foods (3) water change with clean, preferably soft water -- some aquarists use rain water -- during a heavy front of rain moving through. They'll spawn in the morning. Once you see them spawning like crazy, move the adults out. And then... wait for it... Here are a couple of article "clippings" you can read through: ____________________________________
