RockyMtAquarist
I recently received a shipment of Scarlet Temple from ACO. I have an Easy Planter to plant it in. Should I just put the pot with rockwool in the Easy Planter, or should I remove the rockwool? I am concerned if I remove the rockwool the stems will not be anchored to the pot and will float. BeeGryphon
Just drop the whole thing, rockwool and all, in the planter.
NOLANANO
report back with how it goes. I have tried scarlet temple twice but both times it melted away. Maybe the easy planter is the way to go to make it work.
Tommy Vercetti
I would place it where it can get the most light. It has been my experience that if it does not get enough light then it will slowly die and get taken over by algae. Here is how I placed mine
Pepere
It is without a doubt one of the more difficult plants I have tried. Algae seems to grow easily on its leaves and choke it out. doesnt help that it is in a 29 gallon lighting wise.. For me it only took off and started to thrive once I got CO2 dialed in. At that point Algae died off and ceased to be a significant issue and I have the lighting at full strength for about 4 hours a day with a total of 10 hour photoperiod. Light intensity ramps up and down over the course of the whole day as it does in nature…
