Alex j
Anyone have or had an aqueon mini bow 5 gallon that took the filter out that came with it and put in an hob or sponge filter? I'm considering doing that for better filtration and was just wondering...
Guppysnail
I had a 2.5 I got for shrimp qt. I pulled it and used a coop nano. The nano worked better and did not share plants.

I misplaced the filter in a move so i use a coop sponge filter for it. My thought was it's a smaller tank so a HOB might create too much current if it's too strong but one for the size should be fine. I only had larger hob's that wouldn't fit well so i chose the sponge filter making it into a shrimp tank
