Sorry to hear that. If you work onsite perhaps look for one that is near by or on the way home. I did that and it helps get me excited for work just so i can stop by afterwards.

That's tough. Very sorry for your loss. I am in the same boat. Maybe one of the employees will start their own? Maybe you have a local club to join and fill that void?

I always want to support the LFS, however with the selection/knowledge/cleanliness/ customer service issues, it’s rough to beat shopping at the coop for supplies/plants, and online breeders/sellers for fish. I get exactly what I want, when I want it. I wish @Cory would open up coop stores in Florida or some rendition of what Cory visited in Germany or China would be tremendous. I do understand his issues with opening up more stores, less control could mean less coop like and that would also be a bummer.

Yeah, there are zero lfs’s that aren’t at least an hour from me.   In the dead of winter, in western New York, looks like it will be a while before I get any more fish.    I guess I’ll just have to live vicariously through you all.
