macdaddy36 Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 During my water change today, one of my Rasbora's got sucked up the siphon tube for a few seconds. I disconnected the siphon and he went back in the tank, but he lost the top part of his caudal fin. He is still swimming around the tank and remains active, but he is lopsided when swimming. Is there any hope for him? What medication would be ideal to help prevent infection? Should I separate him into a breeder box? P.S. I posted this in the wrong discussion before.
knee Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 I'd separate him just to avoid the fish being picked on by other tank mates. Clean water and some aquarium salt is what I would do.

knee Posted February 18, 2023 Posted February 18, 2023 I've dosed 1tbsp/5g before and my plants did fine but it did kill a few ramshorn snails. What else is in the tank?
