Somewhat accurate way to ID a plant 🌱…

I recently bought a batch of plants (for a new tank) and decided to test a theory.

I took a picture of each plant, and ran them through Google image search. They all came up correct (I used the plant labels as reference)! 
So for all those who get a weird looking plant, Google it. 🙂

I typically use i naturalist to id plants, but they are wild, and unless you create a group, loging not wild things is frowned upon

if i get a plant from aquariumcoop its already identified, when i get it from my LFS, i try to figure out the type, but often even they dont know, as long as i can grow it, i dont really care though.

i can make good guesses of the genus, but specific plants i cant identify. i can know, "this is an abubias" but not "this is anubias xyz"
