Goldie Blue
I am moving my sweet axolotl from a 20 gallon to a 40 gallon breeder, I have everything ready to go, and now I am rethinking this filter. I got the Fluval 207 canister, and am wondering if I should take it back and get the 407? The 207 is for up to 45 gallons, 407 up to 100. It's an extra $80 bucks, the money isn't really the issue as much as what is best for the tank/axolotl. Any thoughts or personal experience? Theplatymaster
You should be fine with the 207, my suggestion is to get some plants growing, if its legal in your location things like Hornwort or Anarchis are good options as they are fast growing and cold water tolerant.

Right now I have some massive pothos roots going in her tank, and some java fern.
