How soon after a water change should I add easy green?

I'm doing 1 water change a week. How soon after a water change should I add easy green?

I know in high tech that people wait until the day after to dose.

Right after is fine.

There is no hard set 'roles', for myself I like consistency in my schedule. So, water change days my tanks get nothing but conditioner and fresh water. As for the rest of the week I add fertilizer before the lights come on. Figuring this gives the plants nutrients for the whole day, not just a portion of the day.

right after is fine. now if you run carbon, then you want to wait a few days.

What’s the reason? I just started with carbon so curious as to what I should wait?

the reason being that carbon acts like a sponge. it absorbs everything it can from the water. after a couple days carbon will have absorbed pretty much all it can. so while you can add ferts right away, some of it will be absorbed by the carbon.
