PeggyAndAl
Hello! I did water change yesterday and cleaned the driftwoods, etc. When I woke up this morning, there are tiny black dots all over the plants and driftwoods. What are these? The tank is only about 2 months old and I conditioned the water with Fritz Complete the day before (adding it to the fish tank) and added API Stress Coat, Fritz FritzZyme 7 when I changed the water. There’s a giant Betta and supposedly 5 tiny/small Amano shrimps in there (but sadly, I don’t know if they are still alive as I don’t see them anywhere). I do water change every 7-10 days. Thank you in advance for any information. Have a great day! : )
CJs Aquatics
Hard to tell based on pics but best guess would be some form of algae, or fungus, probably harmless

I just tried it and they brush off easily, just don’t know what they are. It was all squeaky clean last night after the water change. : ) On 2/6/2023 at 1:57 PM, jwcarlson said: Snail poop. I don’t have any snails in there. But I did notice tiny, tiny tiny snail looking things on the glass when I put new plants in, and I did remove them promptly and didn’t notice any lately.
