Apple cider vinegar in aquarium

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I have an aquarium friend who heard about using vinegar in an aquarium to get rid of hard water spots. He told me he used very little and that there was no dripping or residue. The only potential problem was that he used apple cider vinegar instead of white vinegar. Is this something to be concerned about? The only fish in the tank is one of his bettas.

I can’t say for certain, but I use white vinegar to clean my glass I don’t think it there would be much difference with apple cider. And I feed vinegar eels all the time and I don’t rinse them or anything. Even If you got some vinegar in the tank it might have some effect on ph . But personally I wouldn’t even worry about it.
