Patrick M. Bodega Aquatics Posted November 4, 2020 Share Posted November 4, 2020 Hello everyone, I have an aquarium friend who heard about using vinegar in an aquarium to get rid of hard water spots. He told me he used very little and that there was no dripping or residue. The only potential problem was that he used apple cider vinegar instead of white vinegar. FrostiesFishes Posted November 4, 2020 Share Posted November 4, 2020 I can’t say for certain, but I use white vinegar to clean my glass I don’t think it there would be much difference with apple cider. And I feed vinegar eels all the time and I don’t rinse them or anything. Even If you got some vinegar in the tank it might have some effect on ph . Alesha Posted November 4, 2020 Share Posted November 4, 2020 Yes, we did that too. Used apple cider vinegar to clean and get hard water stains off a used 55-gallon.
