Striped Raphael Catfish

Recommended Posts

Anyone have experience with Striped Raphael Cats, specifically along the lines of aggression. I recently regimes all the fish in my 90g, in preparation to move my lungfish into it, with the exception of my catfish. He is about 9” and was that size when I got him so I am not sure how old it is.

I was wondering if these fish will be compatible long term once the LF has more size on him (should top out at approx 18”). I’ve heard people say the LF will kill the cat, some people say the Cat will rip off the LF’s little noodle arms, and others say perfectly fine together.

My Cat has always been kept with CA Cichlids, large barbs, and a bichir without any signs of aggression, however I don’t really know how he acts at night, and I’ve heard they can become beasts when the sun goes down.

If there is a risk of non-compatibility, is there anyone in the SC midlands are who wants an awesome catfish.
