Jacob Hill-Legion Aquatics
I'm trying to find a carpeting plant that could make a dense carpet in a low tech 10 gallon planted tank. I really like the grass look but i don't know if those need co2?
nabokovfan87
It would take time, but there's a few. I think it was @Minanora and there was a tank in a bathroom with a low tech carpet that looked pretty dope. I'll try to find a photo. That is Hydrocotyle tripartita 'Japan' I believe. I would also point you toward micro sword. That plant tends to do well for a lot of people and gives the look you'd want. If you can't get that to work, try Dwarf Hairgrass, but usually that plant can be a bit finicky, it has been for me. Lastly, potentially look into monte carlo. 1
Rube_Goldfish
This dwarf sagittaria all started from a single sprig in a low tech ten gallon tank, but it's been growing for about fifteen months or so. So yeah, slow growing. The light is a Finnex 24/7 Planted Plus KLC.

It took about a year to cover everything in my case in my ten gallons, but it's easy and fun to watch.
Mmiller2001
Hygrophila Serpyllum, this is an amazing low light carpeting plant. Unfortunately, it's a truly rare plant and hard to find.
Crow
It requires trimming to keep it low and get it to spread, but pearlweed is an option that can be stupid easy to carpet. Not quite grassy, but can take a beating and survive a vacation.
