Andy's Fish Den
I decided this fall to rescape the 93 cube tank that has been in our bedroom for the last 6or 7 years. I had let it go and the plants had gotten out of control, and BBA was growing over a bunch of them. I wish I had thought to take some pics before I started tearing it down. I caught all the fish out and took them to a local fish club auction in October, along with plants that didn't have BBA on them, then slowly have been acquiring hardscape for it. I decided to do a Lake Tanganyika tank. I got some pool filter sand, the guy at pool store gave me a weird look when I went in last month and wanted to buy filter sand, told him it's for a fish tank, then a lady working there said she has sold several bags for aquarium use in last year or so. Got a few anubias plants at some auctions and finally put it all together today. I've been slowly acquiring fish for the tank over the last few months, got most of them at the OCA extravaganza in Nov and have been quarantining them in my fish room. I am going to be putting some black calvus, julidochromis transcriptus 'Gombi' and cyprichromis leptosoma 'blue flash' in. I do have some Neolamprologus caudopunctatus that I have been breeding in my fish room that I am thinking of putting in as well. 4
