Ron.h
Looking for help with young black cory deaths. I have a 90litre grow out tank with young schultzi black corys and young snow white panda corys. Parameters are ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 25. Temperature 23c P.H. 6.8. All corys are bred by myself in my fish room. Blacks are 2/3 months old snow panda 3/4 months old. Over the past 4 week i have lost 1 to 2 black corys every three to four days. Not lost one panda as of now. All the blacks look fine until one or two develop the symptoms shown in photo, and over the next couple of days they die. The photo shows the white on the body which appears to be excess mucus/slime coat, rather than fungus. The fish are also slightly bloated and eyes appear slightly protruding. Doesn't seem to be any clamped fins, and still reasonable active although a little lethargic. Hope someone can give some pointers as to what the problem may be. Many Thanks Ron
