Cardinal Tetra living in a Neons world

There isn't a hard and fast answer.  Typically similar appearing fish of different species won't shoal together, so the ideal situation would be to return them or get more cardinals.  However, if that's not easily doable I wouldn't judge you for leaving everything as-is.  It's not the end of the world.

id just say moniter the cardinal behaviour. If they shoal around with the neons, you should be fine. I had one glowlight tetra once, that was not all stressed being alone, she pretended to be a platy instead. But if the cardinals are shy, and dont hang out with the neons, you will definetly want to move them or get more.
