bettaballistic
Not the best title, because I have no idea what this thing is actually called. But one time I saw a video of a betta breeder taking pictures of they're fish. And to get their fish out of the tank they used what looked like a normal fish but instead of the net part it was thin plastic like a ziplock bag. So it scooped the fish out and some water so it wasn't stressful. I would really like to know what this thing is called so that I can find one. I usually use my hands so it's not as stressful, but that doesn't work as well in every situation

Patrick_G
Those look handy! I often catch fish with a small container or cup. This is a nice alternative. Edited December 11, 2022 by Patrick_G
dangerflower
Oh cool! Nets have definitely damaged my poor betta's fins before. This looks like it would be helpful for catching fry too. I usually scoop them in a cup or jar but this would probably be easier.

The net portion is generally fairly stiff, so it doesn't collapse around the fish (like this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B087614NSC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1). By the way, someone posted about this set a while ago: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0948ZMFBD/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1. I ordered a set, since the price was right, but I'm not a fan. The net part is too soft. I like the small nets that hold their shape.
