Betta Blindness?

Hi all,

I’ve had Elvis for about a year in my 5 gallon office tank. About 4 months ago I started noticing his face getting darker. Now it looks like his eyes are covered in black scales. I can’t say for sure if he’s unable to see because he swims fine considering those giant floppy fins. Water parameters have been good and just recently got our first case of blue green algae. 
 

What do you think? Does this look normal?

It does happen with age on bettas.  Patterns will chainge.  Blue+Black I believe is fairly common.  Keep an eye on it, but I don't think it's abnormal.
