can you delete notifications

Is there a way to delete or clear the notifications that has been read ?.. I do not see any way to delete .. they are starting to build ..

 

Or do they automatic delete after so many days or post .. Thank you so much for any help

There currently isnt a way to clear or delete all the notifications that I am aware of. I dont think they clear themselves either after so long. I think they are just there to hangout for now.
