Augustjd27
I'm setting up a new ten gallon aquarium in the next few months and am trying to make sure I get the most reliable heater I can for the tank. Any suggestions on where to order online and which heaters are most reliable?
Rikostan
There are quite a few threads on the site talking about heaters, but the general consensus seems to be that no matter what heater you buy, you should buy a separate heater controller. I learned that lesson the hard way a couple of months ago. My heater got stuck on and caused the temps in the tank to get close to 100F. It killed a few of my fish. Now I have controllers on all my tanks.
Ruud
I am old School and Netherlands (where I lived until 5 years ago) is next to Germany, the market is full with German products. I swear with Eheim products and always had Eheim Jager heaters. Quality stuff. Though I must admit I don't have compared to any other brand.
Administrators Cory Posted October 31, 2020 Administrators Share Posted October 31, 2020 If you are local, our store sells heaters. We just don’t ship heaters currently.
ChefConfit
KGTropicals started selling some preset heaters on their website keepfishkeeping.com. They are/were (not sure if they still are now that they have their own store) brand ambassadors for the coop with a popular YouTube channel that recently started selling fish keeping supplies. They used to own a fish store but I believe this is their first online store. The heater they sell is what I plan on getting for my next nano tank. I’ve had my current heater running for about 3 years now.

Thanks Cory. I am local now as I just moved here three months ago! I'll pick one up the next time I stop in the store.
Maggie
I have an aqueon preset that keeps it at 78 and also 2 aqueon pros to set lower (in my case) or higher. Working ok so far!
