I transferred them in to my Main display tank.

They have been there maybe 30 minutes.

They have discovered the Hair Algae on the upper fronds of Wisteria and are chowing down with enthusiasm.

I am anxious to see how much of an impact they have.

Here are the two males. When I come close to take a photo, they get rather skittish.  I dont think they enjoyed being netted and transferred….

Very cool! Hopefully they do well for you!

Since adding the Flag Fish, my Dwarf Gourami has started nibbling on the hair Algae too, and chases the Flag fish away to protect his resource…

The Flag Fish outnumber him 7 to 1 though.. they simply go to another clump and start mowing down.

I am hopeful the Dwarf Gourami will tire of chasing them given their numbers…

I am waiting for second 29 gallon tank to complete cycling and then I will move 3 of theFlag fish in to that tank.

Main display tank is probably overstocked right now, but I have abundant plants and filtration. I am keeping a close eye on parameters right now testing daily.

Somehow I accidentally transferred 1 Pygmy Cory over while transferring the Flag Fish.

I am going to try to transfer him back to his buddies tonight.

Someone is a bit jelly 😂

After a few days the Dwarf Gourami stopped chasing the Flag Fish.  I had 7 Flag Fish in the tank, and I assumed he just got overwhelmed by them being everywhere….

I now have three in that tank.  We will see how he continues with reduced population.
