Products unique to Japan

Hey everyone I’ll be going to Japan in a couple weeks and will obviously be hitting up the fish stores. Are there any products they have that we think are worth bringing back to use?

There is a lot of unique filters and heaters. Those may or may not require electrical connections. 

Honestly, not an easy question to answer, but that's an awesome trip and a great place to go visit for the hobby.  If possible. I'd try to find rare fish / plants as long as you can get them home.

@Ryo Watanabe lives in Japan, he might have some good ideas. I’ve heard that some of the cool aquascaping brands are less expensive over there.

OH RIGHT.  Get some aquascaping supplies.

 

Some tools and stuff, brands, and all of that are so hard to find for me. (might be the same case for you)  Finding a nice ADA something, might be a very cool keepsake for the trip!

A lot of aquascapers in Europe and Asia collect some of the older ADA pieces that Amano San created while he was alive. For example the old bubble counter that mounts on the outside of the tank was discontinued but then redesigned and rereleased but everyone wants the old one. Enjoy the time and the adventure. Soak up the culture!
