Chick-In-Of-TheSea
Maybe they are fry, maybe they are nano fish, maybe they are critters that just don’t grow so much. Who are the little ones in your tanks? Mine are Nibbles, a little unidentified species of snail that stays at peppercorn size and Goliath, the runt of my mystery snail clutch. Everyone else grows and grows, and he stays about pea size. And now some lil blue dream shrimp. 4
Guppysnail
This little boy Ike got caught in a planter as a newborn. It stunted his growth. Tail included he is 3/4 of an inch. He is from an orange line I tried before my blues. I did not allow breeding in the orange because they had bent spines in many offspring. He had a pipsqueak brother Mike who passed a few months ago. Ike is almost 2 years old. I love him ❤️ He is starting to show a bent spine in the last 4 months ☹️ This little one is Bug. He is from the last batch of magentas. He just does not grow much. He stayed smaller than a pea for a long time. 4

The Arthritic Aquarist
Nice Gold Mystery Snail. Mine is growing old and its shell is not what it once was unfortunately. I have Fire Red Shrimps in the tank and can attest to them hitching rides. 🙂 Part of the issue with the shell I suspect was that it got covered with quite a bit of algae at a certain point (was experimenting with lights and fert levels at the time). The algae is gone now, but some of the shell seems to have been stained. Unfortunately, I don't have a very good camera and most of my pics don't tend to turn out well. 1
Anjum
Don't mind if I do! It's my very first babyfish, a Corydoras paleatus that I never expected to hatch. It's still so little, it's hard to get good pics, but I did manage to get some decent video last night: 1
The Arthritic Aquarist
My Cories lay lots of eggs but they tend to get eaten by the Mystery Snail (I don't remove them). The shrimp now in the tank were also taking an interest in the latest batch of eggs. Maybe a little one will manage to make it one day. I'm hoping that my new Neocaridina will breed (have had them for about 5 weeks now).

Or you could put a chunk of cuttlebone or wondershell in the tank. On 10/25/2022 at 5:23 PM, Anjum said: It's my very first babyfish Congrats!! A very active little one too! Use one with a lid so the snails don’t get in.

PineSong
Hard to say who's cuter there--the tiny human or the Stiphodon on the rock, Fish Folk! I seem to specialize in fry that will.not.grow. Here is the lone orange platy baby in my kitchen tank. He is every bit of 2 months old and sure doesn't look it. 3
Chick-In-Of-TheSea
Congrats @Fish Folk on rainbow shiner fry! Boo has the cutest froggy face. And you have the best tank maintenance supervisor. Does he help out with anything ? On 10/25/2022 at 7:35 PM, PineSong said: I seem to specialize in fry that will.not.grow. Only a problem when I am tapping my foot waiting for my remaining 100 guppy fry to be sexually dimorphic so I can sell them, and they refuse to get with the program. As long as the little orange cutie skips growing a gonopodium, they are welcome in this tank 🙂

My cory's eggs get eaten pretty quickly too, but I managed to find 2 one day, so I took them out & put them in a tank with no fish. Really didn't expect anything, but whaddya know!

Fish Folk
Ok, ok… just one more from me. @Guppysnail sent a clutch of Long-finned Golden Blue Eye BNP eggs. I got a few to hatch. Thought I’d show them after lights-out… 1

DaveO
These dwarf golden barbs are very skittish but I managed to get this shot as they flew by. There are several more that would not cooperate. 4
