How Do You Trim Dwarf Aquarium Lily?

I have 2 dwarf aquarium lilies and that have completly taken over the tank (I kinda like the look though) the surface is so full of lily pads that new ones don't have a place to go (I have an air stone and try my best to leave an area open for the fish).

How would I trim some of the lilypads? Where do I cut? Will they grow back? Will this plant ever die?

I am loving my dwarf aquarium lilies by the way

Clip them off at the base, so that the rest won’t rot; and never do too many.

Ok got it. Will it hurt the plant if too many are cut off at once?

Sorry for all these questions lmao.

Yes, as it’ll lose a large amount of energy which it put into all those that have been cut off, and will experience a short-term set back.

It’s OK, when I first joined all I seemed to be doing was asking questions 🙃
