meadeam
The Chinese Restaurant in my neighborhood switched to only take-out during the pandemic, so I hadn't been inside for a long time until recently. They've always had a goldfish tank, but now it includes an interesting filter.
AndEEss
Looks like some pot scrubbers in there. Pretty normal amongst the DIY crowd. Better than most purpose-made media.
smm333
Interesting. The water definitely looks clean, so it must be working!
B7gwap
Nice looking Goldies Fish tanks are science experiments as much as they are art. Tinkering for me is definitely part of the fun. Edited October 16, 2022 by B7gwap Typo
TOtrees
I like the customized spillway, with silicone or glue flow disturbers.
Gwallace
Typical overhead sump. They are as efficient as they are ugly...LOL I made a few out of acrylic back in the day. They work just like a regular sump.
nabokovfan87
I forget what the channel is, but often I find myself watching this one guy on youtube who can literally make the most amazing filters that look great out of tupperware, a box of straws, and whatever is laying around. It's amazing to see what you CAN DO when you have the willpower. Obligatory wink / nod to how some companies refuse to update designs after 30-50 years.
