Help Identifying and Removing Moss/Algae/Something?

So awhile back, I had taken this log out to replace the substrate in this tank. After putting it back into the tank, this weird moss or algae or something else entirely started growing on it. I have tried cutting it off but it keeps coming back and has started spreading to the rock. I was hoping to find someone who would be able to identify it or tip me off on how to remove it.

I would completely clean out that tank. Pull out your plants and fish, place them somewhere safe, and toss everything that has the moss on it. It's the safest way to completely stop it from growing or causing further problems.
