Rebirth
I recently cured my Betta of pop eye. She is doing great. After her pop eye cleared I noticed a large white spot on one eye and a smaller white spot on the other. No signs of ick on the body. She is acting liked herself and eatting. I’ve put some salt in the tank to try to heal her eyes. Is this fungal? A secondary infection caused by pop eye? Picture included of the worse of the two eyes. Thanks 🙏 Note: white spots on body are pesky snail eggs on glass not ick. Edited October 11, 2022 by Rebirth
Matilyn
Those look like your Betta fish's pupils. It could be cloudy eye. Here is a link to a good article about cloudy eye. Hope this helps! It looks like cloudy eye goes along with pop eye. https://www.bettacarefishguide.com/betta-cloudy-eye-guide-cure-your-betta/
Rebirth
Thanks! I was treating with salt as well. I’ll keep up what I’m doing. I recently removed a lot of plants and after is when she got Popeyes previously being very healthy. Perhaps unrelated but I’m putting my plants back as I think that helped keep the tank healthy. Cloudy eye is often caused by poor water quality so increased water changes and maintaining stable water parameters is the best treatment in the long term
