Pepere
I received some American Flag fish today that were in very hard water. 33 degrees Gh 13 degrees KH. which is very much higher than any of the care guides call for for the species… my tank has 6 degrees each. anything I should do or look out for?
Fish Folk
If they're already in, not much you can do but just keep things calm, clean, and otherwise top-shape. In my view Flaggies are pretty hardy. IF they're healthy to begin with, they'll probably adjust fine. I'd void making sudden, precipitous changes. The move from one water you another needs to be all they focus on adjusting to. I got mine going string in rather soft water here in western MD. I think they can adapt pretty well.
