Stan Z
Some of the leaves on my Amazon sword are turning yellow and one is browning. I use root tabs. What should I do?
AllFishNoBrakes
That yellowing leaf is dying and won’t come back in my experience. Clip it off so the energy is focused on new growth. More root tabs could help, too! Swords are heavy root feeders
Mitch_ScruffyCityAquatics
I second @AllFishNoBrakes. More root tabs. They are monsters. They eat and eat and eat. They love the tabs.
Odd Duck
Those oldest leaves look like they were mid-conversion to submerse, too. It’s not surprising those are fading. As others said, keep up the root tabs/ferts, remove the old, dying leaves. Don’t worry too much, just keep watch. Looks like your new leaves are nice and healthy. TheSwissAquarist
I’m with @Odd Duck, they’re probably just melting back.
Stan Z
Thanks for the advice. It’s the oldest leaves that are going . 3 more will have to go soon. I’ve started a second tank, too. Having some fun! 1

As someone said above, they will not heal. It is best to snip them and the plant will reroute resources to new growth.
