Alkaline buffer

I’ve got 6.4-6.6 ph water with hardness at about 300 ppm. My water has low buffering capacity maybe 40-60 ppm My LFS doesn’t have crushed coral, they offered me a product Alkaline buffer from seachem. Does anyone have any experience with this?

I have used it, and still do when I need to raise my KH. I have a tank of inverts that tends to go too low on pH and KH and that is how I raise and maintain both.
