TheBlueBeetle
Okay so I have this female BN pleco I've had forever (10 years or so). This fish has always been super chill. She's currently the biggest fish in my 125 tank and bothers no one, with the exception of mystery snails. Over the years i've tried a few times to add a few snails to assist in cleanup, and each time my pleco has gone on a killing spree, bashing them against the glass. After the first ime i saw it happen I removed the rest of the snails, but any time I try to reintroduce, pleco is all Michael Myers again. Anyone else had this problem? If so, did you find a work around, short of institutionalizing the pleco?
anewbie
Not with pleco; my clown loaches are always happy when a few extra mystery snails hit the water. I did have a pleco once hit the snails with his tail when he was trying to eat some zuc and 30 snails had swarm it; that certainly cleared them off but beyond that it was tranquile.
