JL316 Posted September 10, 2022 Share Posted September 10, 2022 Just got the ziss baby brine shrimp hatchery and I absolutely love it!! Unfortunately their were some unhatched baby brine shrimp eggs while harvesting bbs. What’s the best to separate it? I’m currently feeding guppy fry and Pygmy corydoras and didn’t want them to choke on Unhatched eggs. TIA! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Flumpweesel Posted September 10, 2022 Share Posted September 10, 2022 The eggs normally float so if you turn off the air and let it stand should be easy. Using a light a the bottom (dark room or cover the top.)will draw all the BBS towards the tap once you have drained those off the eggs should remain in the hatchery. Tazalanche Posted September 11, 2022 Share Posted September 11, 2022 I transfer the BBS into another container while over the sink. When I get close to the unhatched eggs, I just move the BBS container out of the way as the brown eggs get to the valve, then place the hatchery in the sink drain as I go feed the fish.
