FishPlanet
Hey guys! Would like some suggestions on foods that my betta kids would like. TIA!
Anjum
Anything live or frozen, basically fresh food (bloodworms, daphnia, brine shrimp). I really believe now, that bettas don't do well on a diet of dry foods only. You could keep a dry pellet food around, for convenience when you don't want to thaw frozen food. But you'll use so little of it before it gets stale, it hardly seems worth it. IDK, just my $0.02. I'm a little jaded after my last betta died. I want another, but not until I can provide an optimal diet.
Flumpweesel
Mine is mainly confused by live baby brine, but loves a blood worm . Eats pretty much any small pellet and has mainly been fed bug bites. She's currently a podgey moody 9 month old
anitstuk
Blood worms and small pellets would be a good diet.
redfish
I’ve not had good luck with floating pellets marketed for Bettas. Mine spits them out. Mine like flakes and Hikari Bio-Pure Freeze Dried Daphnia.
FlyingFishKeeper
Mine doesn't really go after bbs unless they're in a big clump from what I've seen. He definitely loves frozen brine shrimp though (jumps out of the water for the pipette sometimes lol), and also seems to like Xtreme Nano pellets. I've heard of them loving bloodworms, however haven't tried them yet

I'm pretty sure @Irene made a video about floating plants for Bettas and how some are too big for the Betta's mouth. She mentioned going for smaller pellets
FishPlanet
Thank you all! My betta boy loves pellets and bloodworms but hates brine shrimp and my betta girl loves brine shrimp and bloodworms but hates pellets. 😅
