Stevefm2003
I started with 4 cherry red shrimp and now have 20 but half are brown/grey. Are these males or mutts? I’ve seen none with eggs.
Fishkeeper125
Brown/grey shrimp usually happen when you mix different colors of shrimp.

I’ve seen none with eggs. The ones you started with were probably not from a "pure" line. I bought some red rilis that give me blues and red cherries all the time. It happens and is not particularly serious. On the other hand, I would definitely either cull or put all of them that are not full red in a different tank. Eventually you'll star getting mostly pure shrimp
