A Moore
My Betta has something that looks fuzzy on one of his ventral fins. It was not there yesterday. I wanted to confirm with someone who has more experience than me on what this is? Ich? My 10 gal tank is 4 mo old, planted. I have 3 Otos, 2 Pygmy Cories, and a Nerite snail .. along with an outbreak of pond snails and Ram snails from a plant I did not quarantine. I change water weekly (last change 50% 2 days ago). I have Corys’ trio of meds and didn’t want to treat more than I have to. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! A Moore
Update.. that part of the fin fell off. I’m treating the tank with IchX and Maracyn. Hopefully I caught it soon enough.

PAC
The same thing showed up on my panda corycats this week. Put E.M. Erthromycin in tank...will add Ich Attack. They are new to my tank. Guess the quarantine didn’t get everything. Thanks! Edited October 25, 2020 by PAC
A Moore
Evening update: his top fin is already rotting and he’s looking ragged. This is happening so fast! Should I do a water change tomorrow and redose or just let it sit for a few days with no extra doses or water change?
PAC
I believe we are supposed to follow the directions on the label. The sitting for a few days with no extra doses is part of the directions for the initial weeklong quarantine and not an already visible disease.
A Moore
Ok your right, I will change and redose tomorrow. Thank you for replying. He is deteriorating so fast I am worried he won’t last until tomorrow. 😪
