Pepere
My 5 emerald green cories mostly stayed in the front 1/3 of the tank that was largely devoid of plants. The three Kuhli Loaches largely hid in the base of the plants and under the box filters all day only coming out some at night. After transferring the cories into spare tank to save them from water conditioner disaster, I see the kuhlis all day long. Swimming from back to front, swiming up into the floating plant roots, draping themselves over the drop checker, and over leaves. Swimming in vertical circles. I am thinking about getting a few more for the 29 gallon display tank and keeping cories in the 20 H and adding 3 more to have 6 in there.
redfish
We had two in quarantine and one just died last night. I'm going to see about replacing him from the lfs. It's only been 4 days in quarantine. They are fun to watch when they are active.
Lots Of Loaches
You can never have enough Kuhli loaches IMO. I’ve 8 in my 40 long and will be adding more at some point in the future, when my LFS gets in a healthy batch. Mine stay out all the time swimming with my clown loaches. TOtrees
I've found they are more outgoing when they are younger (zippy spaghettis, lazy udons 😛). I have 20 in a 40B, they were in a 20H before that and a heavily planted 33G before that. I almost never see them now, and like the OP I recently cleaned out a herd of 45 cories. I do see them at feeding time, and if I happen to check on the tank after lights out.
Jenja
That's surprising, wouldn't have thought the cories would influence the kuhlis quite so much. Sounds like a happy change.
