CorydorasEthan
Okay so my julii cories have had this for a while (since around 2 months ago). I thought that they had the same bacterial thing (red spot and fin rot) as the other cories at the time so I tried dosing salt, melafix, and reduced the nitrates. I assumed the barbels would grow back, but they still haven't, and now there appears to be a white growth, maybe fungal, on one of their mouths. Water parameters: White mouth: No barbels: Oh also there's this red colored what looks like hair algae growing everywhere in the tank. Could this be a cause and how could I fix it? Thanks. I recommend using api fungus cure this will most likely help your corydoras and for the algae I believe it is hair algae I am not a 100% sure but it looks like it got rotten maybe? To reduce this algae try cleaning your tank a lot and reduce the light time of your tank.
Colu
You spot treat the algae with seachem Excel or co-op easy carbon just be careful not to over dose as it can be harmful to your fish the barbels issues is usually caused by a bacterial infection as your having reoccurring problem it could be your substrate to sharp at damaging there barbels leading to a bacterial infection I treatment wise you can do a combination of maracyn and ick x it's the treatment co-op recommends for fungal infection's
