NanotankBank Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 Wanted to know if anyone had any experience with a Bolivian Ram and a Dwarf Gourami. I figured they both would leave each other alone as they stayed in separate parts of the tank, but I wasn’t about to start a Battle of the Five Armies if I didn’t have to
JettsPapa Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 I would be hesitant to try it. I've seen too many reports of dwarf gouramis that wouldn't tolerate any other fish in the tank with them.
procyg Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 I have had bad luck with dwarf gouramis and any fish roughly their size so i would probably avoid the combo.
kcochran Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 I have a dwarf gourami in a community tank that has 4 German bluerams, swordtails, platies, cory's, glow light tetras, and head and tail light tetras. No troubles whatsoever. I keep them well fed, water tested weekly and changed when appropriate. The tank is heavily planted with Java Moss and Java Fern.
