I changed up the filtration on my 2.5 gallon window tanks with Co-Op sponge filters. I removed the MF10 from each, plus the center piece of foam, rotated the side pieces, and jammed a small sponge in the center gap. The foam needs to be there to support the glass divider, which holds the light, and the shrimp can swim past the glass.

I really enjoy trying to fit aquarium technology into tiny tanks. I tested without the uplift tube, but there was too much splashing. I probably don't even need a filter, but the shrimp love it.

Someone needs to make a meme about shrimp and foam.

I added a new piece of Mopani wood, and fed some more brine shrimp. I made a big mess, but it should clear up. I will add more wood when I move the previous piece to my parents' tank. This is the one tank where I don't feel bad about making changes.
