Love ponds. Can't wait till I can get my 'display ponds' up and running... These ones will be loved by the family rather than the blue barrels used for fry raising.

My favourites for temperate patio ponds are Empire Gudgeons, zebra danios (A pond raised Zebra danio's colours are amazing) Ricefish and Paradise fish.

I'll have to attach a picture of my pond later

Here’s my patio-ish pond, it’s in my garden. Somehow some evil duckweed got in. At least it’s not frogbit. BE59E697-9525-4B12-850F-B48E35FE64CA.jpeg.754eb2aa79ff7c4fc93b564d6b321d2c.jpeg565F1206-489A-43C4-B604-5850EDE57591.jpeg.94b59bc59f64e8206d2e619059ad6f60.jpeg s

I’d say that pond qualifies as heavily planted! Looks like tadpole heaven!

Thanks. Sadly I think that the chytrid fungus has hit my area so no frogs.

@Friller what do you do with your danios in the winter?  And your other fish?

I leave them in the pond. It gets to about 7 Degrees C where I live during winter.
