Ogpulchra
Can fry get stuck in hair algae?
Guppysnail
If it is dense enough yes they can. A little is ok as microfauna thrive there and provide live food. The dense fluff that grows thick and out of control it is possible though not probable.
TheSwissAquarist
I've bred zebra danios using hair algae as spawning medium on top of some coarse netting, but I never encountered any problems when the fry hatched.
ccc24
They can get stuck all kinds of places. You have to weigh the pros and cons of the risks for each thing in your tank. It would be heavily protecting the fry - which might be worth the risk for you.
