I am both excited and dreading the time when my juvenile angels are old enough to start this behavior. Such cute parents!

Totally unrelated, what type of gourami is in that second picture? It's so red! 😍

I have 6 pairs so far in breeding tanks. I moved one pair out this tank to a breeder. I never thought these two were going to pairs it’s great because they are to platinum pearl scales. That tank is more for guest to see and I generally keep it nice for me. I do have a less is more maintenance plan, but  I do more glass cleaning and that type thing. In a breeder I don’t mind algae on the glass to a point and such. This doesn’t happen often that any fish with breed in the community tank like that for me. In have about 30 fry I removed from parents earlier this week. Good parents are great. No need to dread it. Most I have had work it out. In the beginning most are bad parents. They eat baby or are just plan not good. Most get better. I have anecdotally found one parent is better and will discipline the one that lacks skills and I think they learn. In sure people would disagree.

I believe they are 3 spot gourami. They cam me home withe kids after a trip to by fish food with mom.(the LFS has known them since they could walk now mid to late teens) so that’s what I think. They can be very aggressive but mostly to each other. They would be better in a 90 or 125(that is a 75g) they  sort stay way from each other and claimed one corner of the tank on opposite sides.image.jpg.46f7751bf28bb8dbd1c67e37151d34f0.jpgimage.jpg.ac1559b25b46b171c9b18e611f2679e0.jpgimage.jpg.50db50c7806107a62af2032ab4babb50.jpg

The moved to fry to algae I hit with hydrogen peroxide about a day before they laid. This is a ok pair. Not the best in world for platinum pearl scale. I know if they survive the lfs will be happy to sell them but not what I’m looking for. I hope I get a few to keep that turn out to be the best.A81E48E7-621E-4BD4-A9B1-764D00520B34.jpeg.cc6fe3cbcd8b1f27b8c6ede1fae0e545.jpeg1893E7AA-2F4A-4F0D-8A2F-F4E97955E752.jpeg.a7d03daaacf60934fc3475efd6463cba.jpeg89F31381-19D0-45E8-AB62-EC417A14E5A8.jpeg.3fd8801879b7234c8561fdb1188b4e72.jpeg89F31381-19D0-45E8-AB62-EC417A14E5A8.jpeg.3fd8801879b7234c8561fdb1188b4e72.jpeg

Fish learn lots of things and teach each other.

My goldfish knew me and would sit nearest to me the tank if it felt insecure or if some attention was overdue. Anyway it taught the other goldfish the same habit and the peppered corys. The goldfish are gone now but the offspring of those corys still sit in the same spot if I'm late feeding and I noticed a new cory I'd picked up was joining in as well. Only the peppered do it though the other corys haven't clocked into it

You mean your angels bred on accident?? I've been trying to breed them for 3 months!🙃

Yes I remove a pair the day before and the next day this pair laid in the Community tank. I used a piece of plexiglass to block the 75g so the pair has about 20 gallons for it’s self. I have double black fry and a second like this that has eggs. How old are your fish. Are the in there own tank. Can you tell me about them.

The bubbles are the sponge filter it has been turned down some now
