Amano yes/no?

First, are these guys actual Amano shrimp? Second, it looks like they have some eggs attached. Any ideas?

Yes looks like Amano Shrimp to me. They will produce eggs, but the larva that hatch require brackish water. They don’t reproduce like cherry shrimp or Crystal reds, they go through a larval stage before becoming tiny shrimp.

Thanks! I keep reading about imposters so I glad they are the real deal. Guess the larvae will be food for my other fish

Yeah, I saw someone else asking too.  Those are 100% amano shrimp.  I saw the pics of the "these are not amano shrimp" and they don't look anything like it from what I could tell.  The telltale sign for me is the pattern on the shells and just their general shape.  Very distinct.

One of these things is not like the other 😂

There's not much you can do to hatch the eggs since they need brackish water. From what I understand it is possible but not easy.

What did the seller say they were? They don't look like any other type of shrimp so they should be Amano Shrimp

Amano shrimp may also have a tint of color in them. Mine started becoming faintly pink after eating a number of red pellets of fish food. One became faintly orange.

Update. I am also looking at this one shrimp in my tank with heavy suspicion now.  The big box store might've had some Aussies.  I'll attach photos, but the big thing for me is that this shrimp is MASSIVE.
