Prior to setting up my current 20 gallon all in one Aqua Japan planted tank I had an 8 gallon Bio Orb (definitely a beginner tank!) I had and still have only 2 Cory’s (Panda is the only one with one cloudy eye) and my one Bolivian Ram. I have a Sakura orange shrimp now that came i on a plant when I had the Bio Orb and it is still with us and Ram has no problem with it👍
Administrators Cory Posted May 21, 2022 Administrators Share Posted May 21, 2022 I’d say for now stop medicating. So we know what these developed in your tank? Are there other tank mates as well?
Tina Hulett
The last day of 3rd week of Kanaplex was May 12. I did notice the Ram’s eye in the 8 gallon Bio Orb before he moved into 20 gallon (1 cycled it with Dr. Tim’s and 1 month all planted before. My parameters were perfect when I moved the 2 Cory’s, Bolivian Ram and 1 Shrimp into new tank. I thought it was the terrible last gating in the Bio Orb with the one clouded eye and being new at fish keeping, didn’t now anything about fish getting cloudy eyes! Oh boy! I had a Betta in the Bio Orb who passed long time before I adopted my Bolivian Ram. A friend had a Bolivian Ram that needed a home (I planned on getting Bolivian Rams when I upgraded to a bigger tank) so I adopted the Ram 10/20. My Bio Orb had conditioned water and I slowly switched it to RO without the DI that I get from a fish store In Santa Barbara wher I live. The owner said I definitely need RO water for my new Aqua Japan.
