The wife wants koi but told her long term that it’s not practical so she wants goldfish. My question is does it matter what type of goldfish? I live in Wisconsin so there can be some chilly nights for the next few weeks and hot days in the future. Just wanted to get some answers before buying any. Griznatch Posted May 16, 2022 Share Posted May 16, 2022 I have a couple feeder goldfish in my pond. They've been in there for 3 years now(?) and are tough as nails. They were kind of homely when I got them, but have changed their spots and colors a bit as they aged. Patrick_G Posted May 16, 2022 Share Posted May 16, 2022 My favorites are Sarasa Comets, they look like Kohaku Koi. Shubunkins are a close second.
