How deep are you pushing air down into a tank? Through how much resistance? Are you using a check valve, or affixing the pump _above_ the water level so there is no chance of back flow into the pump itself? AnsleyBleu Posted May 14, 2022 Author Share Posted May 14, 2022 I always use check valves and use these to run the smallest CoOp sponge filter with ziss air stone. Two on my 29g died (I do use a air valve to dial back the flow a bit to slow down splashing on the lid), and one that I used 1x/week on the ziss brine shrimp hatchery that died.
