zodiak245
Is the impeller supposed to separate like this? I thought they are together? I have an eheim 2215 Canister Filter that I just got *used* and it wasn't pumping water properly
Colu
It shouldn't come apart like that I think you need to get a replacement impeller

I'd definitely just replace it. Edited May 10, 2022 by nabokovfan87
Nuggets Beard
I would just super glue it. I have done this to another Eheim filter and it has been working fine for years. Super glue is fish safe.

Tihshho
Order a spare impeller. Once failures like this happen, its from the material becoming brittle with age. Impeller fins might snap donw the line and if you can't find them to super glue them back on you'll be needing a new impeller. Once you have your next failure swap in the new one and you'll be set for a good long time. If you can find a broken impeller fin, you can glue it back. But once you start getting too many patch jobs it's ideal to be running the new impeller.
